In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to my re-election campaign, and to help California Democrats win up and down the ballot in 2022. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Here is the truth:

Election Day is less than one year away. And even though we just beat the Republican recall, I am up again next November.

But it’s not just me on the ballot. Every congressional candidate, a Senate race, state legislative seats and more are on the line.

We are running a 58 County Campaign — because we want to win EVERYWHERE. Earlier this week, we assigned you Santa Clara County, with 1,012,905 registered voters. At $.50 piece, we need to raise $506,452.50 to help us win up and down the ballot there.

And it is why I am asking:
