This is disgusting, John.
Republican Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona tweeted a spoof video that depicts him killing a cartoon villain with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's face superimposed on it. It also shows him swinging a sword at Joe Biden. Predictably, my opponent Kevin McCarthy -- the so-called leader of the GOP -- failed to condemn or sanction his behavior whatsoever.
This is a good taste of what a Kevin McCarthy House Majority would look like -- heavy on threats of political violence, and light on meaningful support for working families.
Holding McCarthy accountable is one of the main reasons I decided to run against him. It's shameful that working families and children suffer in the Central Valley while he blocks good legislation and protects the most extreme members of his caucus instead.
Most people want good-paying jobs, affordable health care and housing, and to be able to put food on the table. They know McCarthy is standing in the way, but they're not sure what to do about it. In order to turn them out in the election -- we need to build a field operation that can reach every single corner of the district. Doing this takes time and resources -- that's why I'm asking:
Will you chip in $3 to hold McCarthy accountable for his failed leadership? Everything you give goes toward building our grassroots field operation to turn out Democrats and undecided voters.

McCarthy's latest actions are another reminder he'd rather defend the likes of Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Lauren Boebert than lift a finger to help people in my community.
Worse still, if this type of behavior is normalized by Republicans like McCarthy, the foundation of our democracy is at risk. It must be stopped.
Chip in $3 so that we can keep holding McCarthy accountable in his backyard >>
Thanks,
Marisa
