“House passes bipartisan infrastructure bill, sends it to Biden”

Last week, I joined the House in passing the historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill.

This legislation will address our aging infrastructure and make it more resilient to climate change. That includes roads, bridges, broadband, electric vehicles, and the biggest investments in public transit and clean drinking water ever in American history.

This is how we build back better, and I’m not done yet. I want to keep fighting for meaningful legislation that lifts up Maryland families and our economy, but I can’t do it without your support.

The infrastructure bill is a huge win for Maryland. It provides:

• $409 million for bridge replacement and repairs in our state
• $1.7 billion to improve public transportation across Maryland
• $100 million to expand broadband coverage to over 148,000 Marylanders

And these aren’t just investments in our infrastructure. These are investments in American workers. 

The infrastructure bill will create millions of good jobs and jump-start our transition to a clean-energy economy.
