John,
My name is Enid. I just started as the Minnesota DFL’s new Political and Organizing Director, and I wanted to reach out to introduce myself.
I got my start in politics when I was 13, volunteering for former DFL State Representative John Ward’s successful campaign against now-GOP candidate for Governor, Paul Gazelka. At 17, I was elected Associate Chair of my Senate District. And at 19, I got my first full-time job on Rick Nolan’s campaign for Congress. The rest is history.
I’ve always worked on tough races that are close to my heart. I grew up in greater Minnesota, and I’ve seen first-hand the power of building meaningful, long-term relationships with voters. I also know what happens when we fall short of that goal.
There are no more off years. We are facing a Republican Party that is aggressively trying to undermine our democracy, systematically attacking science, spreading dangerous misinformation, engaging in an all-out assault on reproductive rights, and so much more.
The MN GOP wants nothing more than to take us back to the hateful, divisive politics of Donald Trump, and I’ll be frank: They will succeed if we don’t stop them. My team is already working around the clock to build the infrastructure we need to hold the line next year, but none of our work is possible without your support.
Will you pitch in $10, $25, $50 (or whatever works today) so we can continue our critical work? Every single dollar we raise goes toward hiring more organizers, opening more offices, recruiting and training more volunteers, and reaching more voters with direct, person-to-person contact.
