John,
Billionaires and their lobbyists are out in force. Just today, a Republican billionaire announced that he would hold a gigantic fundraiser for Sen. Joe Manchin, who holds a key vote on President Biden’s Build Back Better Act. Corporations, billionaires, and their lobbyists are ramping up the pressure on members of Congress.
Fight back! Keep up the pressure from the people!
Read Michael’s email below and chip in $7 to our mobile billboard fund, so that we can make sure each elected official’s constituents know exactly where they stand on the Build Back Better Act.
Thanks,

John,
Late Friday night, the House of Representatives passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which congressional insiders have been calling “the BIF.” Passage of the infrastructure package puts the Build Back Better Act on thin ice. If passed, Build Back Better lets Medicare cover hearing benefits, lowers prescription drug prices, invests in home and community-based care, and makes investments to fighting the climate crisis so that our grandchildren can have a habitable planet. But it’s a scary time for the Build Back Better Act. Here’s why:
Since this summer, the plan has always been to craft two bills that move together―the BIF and the Build Back Better Act. This strategy was designed to hold the Democratic caucus together. Now that the BIF has passed both the House and the Senate, the Build Back Better Act is in danger.
We’re watching final negotiations closely, and preparing to run billboard trucks in the districts of any Democrat who threatens to kill the Build Back Better Act now that the BIF has passed. Donate to our mobile billboard fund today!
The concern has long been that once the BIF passes, corporate Democrats like Rep. Josh Gottheimer or Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will walk away from the Build Back Better Act, leaving President Biden to make excuses for his broken promises.
With BIF on its way to becoming law, it’s up to us to keep the pressure on and make sure that the Build Back Better Act passes!
Seniors who vote in every midterm election are watching. We can still expand Medicare to include hearing benefits, lower prescription drug prices, and invest in home and community care.
Social Security Works’ mobile billboard trucks have been crucial to policy breakthroughs―including by holding Big Pharma Democrats accountable―by making sure that obstructionists hear DIRECTLY from their constituents. Donate $7 today!
Thanks,
