Nov. 10, 2021

Goal reached: Veteran attraction efforts gaining momentum with 300+ new residents and 3,400+ veteran profiles in 2021

*STATEHOUSE (Nov. 10, 2021) ??*Today, Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the non-profit INvets announced that the Next Level Veterans initiative achieved its 2021 annual goals with over 3,400 veteran profiles created from across the nation and over 300 new Indiana residents tracked throughout the year.

?INvets continues making strides in attracting our former military members to Indiana and connecting them with some of our great employers," Crouch said. "I want to congratulate the organization on all its dedicated work throughout the year to reach this milestone and all its future success to keep bringing the heroic men and women who have served our country to Indiana."

Indiana leads the nation in proactive veteran attraction efforts. INvets is a free resource for transitioning military service members to explore Indiana communities and connect directly with employers and resources across the state.

According to INvets Executive Director, Wes Wood, more than 315 employers, representing over 700 locations across Indiana, have signed up to use INvets.org [ [link removed] ] in their military recruitment efforts.

?As businesses resume operations after closure and reduced production due to COVID-19, more than 120,000 in-demand jobs are still available throughout Indiana,? Wood said. ?The transitioning servicemember population is an ideal population to focus our attraction efforts on and INvets is here to provide an easy connection point.?

To sign up for the INvets program, veterans should visit?www.INvets.org [ [link removed] ]. Once a service member completes a profile on the site, their information is made available to participating companies. Employers who sign up for INvets have free access to upload company information, job opportunities and review veteran profiles.
