The Proud Boys — a violent militia group that takes orders from Donald Trump and stormed the Capitol on January 6 — have repeatedly made credible threats on Senator Raphael Warnock's life. Now they're being hailed as heroes by the right-wing media.

This week Tucker Carlson launched what he calls a “documentary series” about the insurrection. In reality, the series glorifies Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and all violent extremists who tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Republicans are openly thanking The Proud Boys for handling their dirty work. Meanwhile, members of the Proud Boys have stockpiled over 1,000 rounds of ammunition and threatened Raphael Warnock's life online, writing “Dead men can't pass laws,” and that they will “keep watching for the signal” from Donald Trump.

Look, these people aren't playing games. Donald Trump — who urged his Proud Boys supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6 and then delayed calling in the National Guard to give the Proud Boys time and cover — tapped Herschel Walker to oust Warnock. Walker just won endorsements from Mitch McConnell and the entire GOP establishment. Now he's surging in the polls just after raising an unbelievable $3.7 million in the first weeks of his campaign.

If Herschel Walker successfully steals Warnock's Senate seat, Mitch McConnell will regain control of the Senate overnight. That means: Goodbye, gun reform. Goodbye, voting rights. Hello, emboldened Proud Boys. Hello, Trump 2024.

But CNN recently declared Warnock 2022's #1 most vulnerable Democrat.
