Friend — it's all been leading up to this. The House is about to vote on three major bills. We need your help — and it needs to come in the next few hours.

The Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act (H.R. 1373).

The Chaco Cultural Heritage Area Protection Act (H.R. 2181).

The Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act (H.R. 823).

These bills would put a PERMANENT stop to Trump's efforts to sell out precious public lands to corporate polluters. This is a BIG deal.

We're not sure we have the votes, and these bills could be on the floor in hours.

We have teams on Capitol Hill right now. We're organizing grassroots pressure on every Member of Congress. We need to keep this up. At this moment, the best thing you can do to help win these votes is to make an emergency donation.

Please, please, please: Donate to the League of Conservation Voters and every dollar will TRIPLE in impact to help us win this fight (even $5 is enough to make a difference) »

The Grand Canyon has been home to Indigenous communities, including the Havasupai, Hualapai, Hopi, and Navajo Nation communities for millennia. Chaco Canyon has been key for the Pueblo people — as well as their ancestors, the Chacoan people — for their way of life.

We have to support these communities — if we lose these votes, it will be a disaster. Indigenous communities throughout the region are already dealing with the impacts of uranium mining near the Grand Canyon. Pueblo communities in New Mexico have fought for years to keep extractive drilling and mining out of Chaco Canyon. Allowing more mining and fossil fuel development would result in toxic radiation levels in their water that can lead to lung and bone cancers, as well as destruction for the ecosystems nearby.

Bottom line — these votes could be some of the most important ones this year. If we win, we could stop Trump's drilling efforts in their tracks.

We're turning to our members for help. There are just a few days until our triple match campaign ends, and we're still $42,000 from our funding goal.

Please, pitch in anything you can — even $5 helps — and it'll go straight to powering grassroots campaigns like this one. Remember, right now every $1 you give is worth $3!

Thank you — for everything you do to protect the environment.
