The future of abortion access is on the line.
Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Texas’ draconian six-week abortion ban (S.B. 8). And the outcome will set legal precedent for the future of abortion access across the country.
We know this far-right court is not on the people’s side — but Ayanna is.
Ayanna proudly co-led and secured the passage of the Women’s Health Protection Act in the House, to directly address current attacks on abortion care. Now, she’s organizing in and out of Congress to ensure this critical bill is advanced and signed into law.
Over the last decade, we’ve seen nearly 500 abortion restrictions pushed through state legislatures — including Texas’ recent, near-total ban.
And right now, anti-abortion lawmakers are attempting to pass copycat versions in their own states.
These bans are cruel and callous. They put safe, essential care out of reach for millions, specifically low-income, queer, and trans folx, and Black, Brown, AAPI, and Indigenous people.
We need to leverage the full power of our movement to guarantee every person’s right to abortion care.
