Last Wednesday, that special session officially began, and for the next few weeks, Erick will be hard at work every day fighting for fair representation and fair maps.

In a few weeks, I’ll be heading into a special legislative session to redraw Georgia’s district lines. And it’s no secret that the Georgia GOP is planning to use this session to gerrymander our state beyond recognition.

Brian Kemp and his allies know they can’t win a fair fight in Georgia, so instead, they’re going to use corruption, manipulation, and anti-democratic practices to let legislators pick their voters — not the other way around. 

It’s true — Democrats are at a disadvantage when it comes to this year’s redistricting process. But, that doesn’t mean we should sit quietly and let the GOP get away with it. 

It’s time for us to make some noise, y’all. I’m ready to walk into that session and make it clear that Georgians are against gerrymandering, and that we’re not going to let the GOP continue to ignore our voices and hurt our state. And I’m asking you to stand with me.
