John -- During a special legislative session, conservative map manipulators in Georgia released draft maps that were designed to eliminate competitive districts in order to protect incumbents -- at the expense of Georgia voters!
If the U.S. Senate elections in January taught us anything, it's that Georgia is a competitive battleground state -- and congressional and legislative maps should reflect that reality.

I'm not surprised by these map drafts.
Redistricting should be a nonpartisan, transparent process -- not a tool used to keep one party in power. Yet GOP map manipulators refused to adopt fair and transparent redistricting guidelines -- which allowed them to dodge releasing a congressional map file that could be analyzed by the public and routinely ignore community input.
Now that Republicans have the ability to pass these maps quickly -- we must mobilize to stop them from doubling down on their gerrymandered maps for another decade.
Georgia voters deserve better than these gerrymandered maps. Leaders on the redistricting committees should be prioritizing the interests of Georgians -- but what they’ve put forward shows that they are more interested in protecting their careers and their party’s power instead.
Can I count on you to make a donation right now to support our movement? I know that elections in states like my home, Georgia, should be competitive, but I need your help to ensure that's possible.
