Late Friday night, the House passed the
Bipartisan Infrastructure Package. It's officially on its way to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.
It's impossible to understate how massive this legislation is for our country and the state of California. This bill represents the single largest investment in our infrastructure in many decades. It includes billions to modernize roads, bridges, and public transit. It allocates billions more for water projects, airport improvements, electric vehicle chargers, broadband internet, and wildfire management.
For decades, presidents have tried to pass much-needed investments in our infrastructure. Joe Biden and the Democrats were the only ones to finally do it.
Our work doesn’t stop here, John. Now our attention shifts to passing the Build Back Better Act which will make major investments in climate, health care, universal pre-K, improving home care for seniors, and expanding affordable housing.
