Late Friday night, I voted to pass the historic $1 trillion infrastructure bill. It didn't include everything we'd hoped for, but it will have a tremendous impact on millions of folks across the nation. And it will finally make the long-overdue investments we need in everything from our electric vehicle grid to our water and broadband infrastructure to roads, bridges, highways, and more.

Now our work must continue. We've secured an agreement to vote on legislation that will implement President Biden's Build Back Better Act, and I won't rest until we've got this critical bill over the finish line.

The Build Back Better framework will give hard working Americans the break they need. It will help working parents afford childcare, ensure seniors have access to the prescription drugs they need, and cut taxes for families who are struggling to get by.

That's not all! The Build Back Better Act will help distressed local economies bounce back better, combat climate change, and create millions of new good paying jobs. Together, with the infrastructure bill, these two pieces of legislation represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our nation for the better.
