Dear Friend, I hope this letter finds you and your family well. I know you’ve seen the chaos at our southern border—the result of President Biden’s executive orders and lack of resolve. Border chaos is dangerous and crushes our ability to be generous as a nation. Now President Biden wants to give people who entered our country illegally a massive payout of YOUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS. His plan is to give individuals who were separated payouts of up to $450,000, or nearly a million dollars per family. I visited the border. Conditions there are both outrageous and heartbreaking, for those crossing the border illegally, and for the communities that have this chaos imposed on them. But complaining about this crisis is not enough. I’m working to get this problem off the one yard line—to rebuild the rule of law, to stop crime, and to help those in need in an orderly fashion.
