John — As you probably know, last weekend the House voted to pass the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill. This legislation does some really important work. From cleaning up Superfund sites, to replacing lead pipes, providing money to communities to help them prepare for climate disasters, improving transit, and expanding broadband access to close the digital divide in low-income and communities of color, and more, there are good things in this bill. We are all better for having safe roads and bridges to drive on and investments in traditional infrastructure are important.
But we cannot stop here, John. This legislation provides only "nominal" emissions cuts, which is why we must pass the Build Back Better Act which includes more robust climate policy. Will you add your name to call on Congress to not stop here and pass the Build Back Better program? [[link removed]]
ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]The Bipartisan Infrastructure package and the Build Back Better Act were supposed to be tied together so that the pro-environment provisions wouldn’t be left behind in the rush to pass the bipartisan aspects only.
But now that the bipartisan agreement has passed, we have to keep up the pressure to ensure that the Build Back Better Act quickly follows.
Will you add your name to demand that Congress passes the Build Back Better Act and the transformational climate provisions it contains? [[link removed]]
