Dear Friend,
Will you join me on Nov. 17th at 12pm for statewide rallies to launch Communities Not Cages, a new campaign to end mass incarceration and overhaul New York’s racist and draconian sentencing laws? RSVP here.
Right now, over 30,000 people are incarcerated in New York's prisons. Nearly 75% are Black or brown. This system of mass incarceration is not an accident. It is the result of decades of racist and draconian sentencing laws that separate families and subject New Yorkers to mandatory minimums and unjust prison sentences.
On Nov. 17th, we'll launch Communities Not Cages to end this unjust system. Join rallies in:
- NYC (Foley Square, Manhattan)
- Rochester (Hall of Justice, 99 Exchange Blvd.)
- Syracuse (City Court, 505 S State St.)
- Long Island (Nassau County Court, 99 Main St, Hempstead, NY 11550)
- Buffalo (Erie County Holding Center, 121 W Eagle St.)
Hope to see you there! RSVP here.
Best,
Lucas Sánchez
