Insurrectionists won in states across the country, including Virginia, Idaho, New Jersey, and even Massachusetts. They were elected to seats ranging from school board to the Virginia House of Delegates.
It’s hard to overstate how dangerous this is. Not only are their policies going to harm the communities they were elected to represent, but the fact that insurrectionists have any influence in our democratic institutions is devastating. These people have already attempted to overthrow our federal government, and now they have been elected into the very thing they attempted to destroy.
