Jim just helped President Biden deliver the bipartisan infrastructure package. And it’s a big deal for Middle Tennessee.

This bill is sending billions of dollars to Tennessee to rebuild our roads, schools, and climate resiliency, and it’ll create good-paying jobs in our communities.

Here are some of the things that Tennessee will get thanks to Jim’s support of the infrastructure bill:

• $5.8 billion for better roads.
• $687 million for water infrastructure to ensure that every child has clean water to drink.
• $630 million to improve our public transportation networks for better options to get to work and school.
• $302 million for fixing and replacing our crumbling bridges.
• $100 million for broadband to close the digital divide.
• $88 million to expand Tennessee’s electric vehicle charging network.

Jim also fought to include language in the bill to stop freight trains from blocking rail crossings for ridiculous amounts of time. This is a huge win for Nashvillians and the biggest victory against misbehaving railroads in years.

Jim and President Biden are working hard to help get our country back on track. Now, Jim is pushing for the House to pass a robust Build Back Better bill to address climate change, healthcare costs, paid leave, childcare, and more.
