You may have read some headlines about how I see the recent Virginia elections, and I want to take a moment to extrapolate why I’m hopeful Democrats can keep the House.

We have a full calendar year -- 364 days in fact -- until Election Day 2022, and in that time, so much will happen. We’ll be able to pass even more bills to help hardworking families make ends meet and support American industry and manufacturing. We’ll continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and so much will happen that none of us could have ever predicted.

While we must take the threat of far-right extremism seriously, we cannot succumb to despair. Currently, I have two far-right opponents trying to out-run each other to the far-right to win the GOP primary, but I know that Democrats have the will and the fight in us to meet this challenge head-on.

We’ve overcome challenges like this before. We beat Jim Bognet last cycle because voters understood our vision of investing in workers, not the ultra-wealthy in New York and San Francisco. I know we can do this again, but I’ll need your support to make that vision a reality.

That’s why I’m emailing -- because I’m ready to take the fight to the far-right and keep up being a voice for the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania. If you’re with me, can I count on you to chip in $20 to keep the House and Pennsylvania’s 8th district blue?
