Just released: "Medical Examiner and Coroner Offices, 2018" [ [link removed] ]

This report presents data on several aspects of medical examiner and coroner offices. It describes the budget of medical examiner and coroner offices and how many cases are referred to them. The report also provides the numbers, types, certifications, and salaries of employees.

Findings are based on data from BJS?s 2018 Census of Medical Examiner and Coroner Offices [ [link removed] ] (CMEC), which collected data on personnel, budget, workload, and policies of all medical examiner and coroner offices in the United States. The 2018 CMEC is the second in a series that began in 2004.
