| Nigeria was once the country with the most cases of Guinea worm disease. It has not had a case since 2008! This woman in Nigeria is making her family’s water safe by using a simple cloth filter that prevents the transmission of parasites. After five years of zero cases, Nigeria was certified free of Guinea worm in 2013 by the World Health Organization. We can make this same progress everywhere with your help! |
