Hi John, as we wind down another calendar year, we reflect on the strength, perseverance, and heart required in the fight for human rights, especially for immigrants.

Join the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) for our final Justice & Java virtual event of the year to hear from fellow community members about how they persevered when faced with immense struggles over the past year.

Join us next Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. CT for a special online event, Strength in the Face of Struggle: Stories from Our Community.

Sign up now to get log in info: https://bit.ly/jj111621

During the presentation, you will hear from a pro bono attorney team at Winston & Strawn LLP about how they advocated and won asylum with a man who is one step closer to reuniting with his family. You’ll hear from a young person who recently received protection under Special Immigrant Juvenile Status after fighting his case with his NIJC team for seven years. And, Caitlin Tupper, Director of the Anti-Violence Project at the Center on Halsted, will share how our collaborative efforts support LGBTQ+ immigrants.
