CSA's Adopt-A-Family: Bricklayers build strong foundation but more support needed
The Bricklayers international union has adopted two local families through the MWC's Community Services Agency's Adopt-A-Family program. "BAC appreciates the opportunity to offer support to these families as we approach the holiday season," said union president Timothy Driscoll. "The Bricklayers' generosity is so amazing!" said CSA Executive Director Letycia Pastrana. "We hope it inspires other unions to adopt local families still struggling to make ends meet." Wanted: Volunteers for Evening with Labor
The MWC needs volunteers to help out at the check-in table for our annual celebration of labor leaders and local activists this Friday at Martin's Crosswinds in Greenbelt. Volunteers will be needed from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and will assist in making sure guests are checked in and have their vaccination status confirmed.
