John, today marks exactly one year out from the election.
When we launched this campaign, we wanted to build a campaign that was a table with a chair for everybody — not special interests or corporate PACs. A campaign that was about cutting through the noise and nonsense in Washington to get things done.
Over the last several months we’ve criss-crossed our Commonwealth and heard directly from Pennsylvanians about the issues keeping them up and night and one thing is abundantly clear: folks are looking for a U.S. Senator who will follow the data, science, and facts and go toe-to-toe with those that would stand in the way of real results for all Pennsylvanians.
No BS. Just results.
They’re looking for someone who will be honest about the problems we’re facing and work to tackle them head on. Well, here’s the truth: we cannot waste any time addressing the climate crisis. As a physician and public health advocate, I will not sit back and watch the lack of urgency coming out of Washington to address it as the public health crisis it is. This is both an issue of public health and Pennsylvania’s economic future.
This week, I’m sitting down with Pennsylvanians who’ve been directly impacted by climate change and pollution — people like the mom in Washington County who lost her son to cancer and watches as others continue to get sick, and families in Southeast Pennsylvania who had their homes ravaged by storms and flooding. The time to act is now.
I’m ready to get to work to tackle the climate crisis — but I’m counting on your support to win this race exactly a year from today to make all that happen.
Can you chip in $5 or more today to help build a winning campaign so we can finally address the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves?

Our changing climate isn’t just a threat to public health — it’s also a threat to our economic security, not to mention the job security of workers in Pennsylvania and across the country. We need to work together to make sure Pennsylvania gets our share of the jobs being created today and tomorrow.
This is what I’ll fight for in the U.S. Senate, for Pennsylvania and for our country. I will support federal efforts to hold polluters accountable and protect workers, homeowners, and our air and water. I’ll also support efforts to ban fracking — it’s a matter of public health.
All while making sure we invest in clean, sustainable energy and provide greater job security for Pennsylvania workers and their families.
With only one year to go until Election Day, we need to build a strong grassroots campaign to make sure we win this race to make these bold, necessary climate reforms a reality.
If you’re with me, add a donation of any amount to power our campaign to victory so we can take meaningful action to protect our planet.
With determination,
Val
