Friend,

It’s official — late Friday night the House passed the Senate’s $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill.

This is a historic moment for our country, but our work isn’t finished. We must pass the Build Back Better Act this month and make critical investments in clean energy, green jobs, child care, and so much more.

The bipartisan infrastructure framework will begin the work of repairing our bridges, roads, ports, railroads, public transportation, and more. It’s an important step forward in modernizing our dilapidated infrastructure and building broadband networks to connect millions of Americans to the 21st-century economy.

But my position hasn’t changed: Senate Democrats must pass the Build Back Better Act so that President Biden can sign both of these historic pieces of legislation into law.

The $500 billion investment in clean energy and green jobs in the Build Back Better Act is the only way forward if we’re going to halt the effects of climate change in the U.S. and save our environment for future generations.

This bill also makes critical investments to address the ongoing child care crisis in our country. By guaranteeing universal pre-K to every child and making child care costs more affordable, the Build Back Better Act will deliver more affordable child care options and provide necessary relief for families and caregivers.

Friend, can you pitch in to fuel our work passing the Build Back Better Act? It’s critical we build on the momentum of the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure framework.

We passed the American Rescue Plan Act just months after the new Congress was sworn in. We got shots in arms and delivered an expanded Child Tax Credit that cut the child poverty rate in half.

We passed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure framework to upgrade our physical infrastructure.

And now, I’m determined to pass the Build Back Better Act and fulfill our promise to deliver meaningful change for all Americans.

Let’s get it done.

— Tina
