When we put together six task forces earlier this year, we made sure to have a group specifically focused on immigration reform. We knew that with President Biden in the White House and Democratic control of Congress, we finally had a chance to reform an outdated immigration system that has not lived up to the promise of the American Dream.

Simply put, our immigration system is broken. Millions of immigrants continue to live under the shadows despite paying taxes and working hard every day helping boost our recovering economy. Some of the brightest minds in the world are eager to bring their talents to our country, yet the system is so backlogged that there are unused visas dating back to the early 1990s.

Future Forum Democrats recognize the urgency of the matter and together with their colleagues in the House helped pass the American Promise and Dream Act of 2021. Can you help fuel our work so Future Forum Democrats can continue to pass historic legislation?
