In August we passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in the Senate and this weekend our colleagues in the House voted to send it to President Biden for his signature.

Coloradans spoke and I listened. Colorado alone has 481 bridges and more than 3,600 miles of highway in poor condition. We need to fix our roads, expand access to broadband, revive good-paying jobs, and fight climate change. This bill achieved this and more with bipartisan support. Take a look:

  • The largest single federal investment in American history to expand broadband coverage across the state, consistent with my bipartisan BRIDGE Act.
  • Funding to repair and rebuild roads and bridges across our state.
  • The Carbon Capture Improvement Act that I introduced to help finance carbon capture projects as part of our goal to boost our clean energy economy and reduce carbon pollution.
  • Robust funding to improve Tribal access to clean water, consistent with my Tribal Access to Clean Water Act.

This historic investment in our roads, bridges, water infrastructure, and the high-speed broadband Coloradans need to compete in the 21st century is just a first step. I’m working to pass policies to support our children and hard-working families, address the threat of climate change, restore our Western forests and watersheds, mitigate the risk of wildfires, and expand access to health care.

The work is far from done but your support today makes continued progress possible, so I’m asking: Please donate $10 — or what works for you — to help defend this seat so we can continue this fight.

I look forward to building on this historic investment by passing legislation that delivers for Coloradans, and for Americans nationwide and I thank you for your continued support as I continue to serve in the Senate.
