John -

Republicans in the North Carolina legislature recently pushed through new legislative and Congressional maps.

Once again, they chose to try to rig our democracy in their favor with more extreme partisan gerrymandering. Republican legislators have made clear they believe that they should get to pick their own voters, not the other way around.

It's anti-American and anti-democratic.

If you agree, add your name to demand politicians stop rigging our democracy and elections. North Carolinians deserve fair maps. [[link removed]]

When Republicans’ old maps came before me on the Supreme Court, I called them out for what they were: gerrymandered maps that disenfranchised voters.

If the new maps are left unchanged, Republicans are likely to hold 11 seats in Congress compared to just 4 for Democrats. That is unacceptable in a state where the presidential vote was near-evenly split.

If you agree that this gerrymandering goes against core tenets of our democracy, then please add your name today.
