I love to be able to share updates like this over email. If you missed the news over the weekend, months of our hard work in Congress finally paid off! I’m excited to relay the news that we passed the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act out of Congress, and it will be signed into law by President Biden in the coming weeks. 

This legislation is a signature piece of the Biden-Harris agenda, and will produce huge results for Georgians – and for folks all around the country. Here in our back yard, these are just a few of the many investments made in Georgia over the next five years as a result of this bill’s passage: 

• $1.36 billion to improve or expand public transportation
• $100 million+ to expand broadband coverage
• $225 million for bridge replacement and repairs
• $619 million in funding for repairs and upgrades at our airports

One thing I’ve learned so far in my two terms in Washington is that progress rarely comes as quick as we’d like it to, so thank you for your patience as we’ve worked all year to pass some huge and impactful legislative packages. 

John, I want you to know I’m doing everything I can in Washington to get the job done for working families before the holiday season is upon us.
