Dear Friend,
Race Forward is getting ready to showcase our 40 years of catalyzing the racial justice movement –– and we want you to join us on November 18th for our special online gala event!
You’ll hear about Race Forward’s rich legacy of work from our founder Gary Delgado, current president Glenn Harris, and former president Rinku Sen; as well as from many leaders, organizers, culture bearers and artists working for racial equity.
The 2-hour celebration will feature memorable historic highlights, humor, and cultural performances.
Get to know our host and performers for the night:
Kat Lazo, our host, is a director, producer, and content creator. She is the radio personality for Spotify’s morning talk show “The Get Up” and creator of The Kat Call, having transitioned her popularity as a YouTuber into a thriving career as a video producer.
Josh Johnson is an author, performing artist and speaker with a powerful story. To pay for college, he danced on the trains of New York City to pay for tuition at Penn State University. The New York Times and Reader’s Digest have covered his amazing story of hard work, persistence and positivity.
Sonny Singh is a musician and social justice educator who has brought his fiery trumpet playing and vocals to audiences around the world. Simultaneously spiritual and rebellious, Sonny's music is a reminder that hope, love, and devotion are crucial to our struggles and collective survival.
Join us on November 18th for this one-of-a-kind celebration!
