Hi John,

We have an exciting update for you! Last week, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was passed by the House of Representatives on a bipartisan basis, following similar action in the Senate. This package provides critical funding for mass transit, safe drinking water, electric vehicle infrastructure, and addressing abandoned oil and gas wells.

Last week’s vote shows President Biden’s bold agenda is moving forward — but this is just the first step and we have to keep the momentum going. As this bill heads to the White House for the President’s signature, we look to Congress to build on this important vote by passing the Build Back Better Act.

Congress must continue to go bold! Engage your Representatives, and urge them to use this momentum to pass the Build Back Better Act.

Combined, these two bills can transform our country for the better. They will modernize our nation’s electrical grid, eliminate lead service lines, accelerate the transition to clean energy and generate thousands of jobs across the U.S.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a sign that our leaders support critical investments that will clean up our air and water and rebuild our communities. But as we look to the weeks ahead, we need Congress to take the next step and pass the Build Back Better Act.

It’s a necessary step to spur growth in clean energy, expand access to clean transportation, protect vulnerable coastal communities and steer job-creating investments to communities with the greatest need and who have been most harmed by dangerous pollution.

What happens next will determine our clean energy future. Urge Congress to tackle the climate crisis through once-in-a-generation bold investments!

Let’s continue building a better future,
