This fall the Campaign for Southern Equality has been proud to work with our partners at Campus Pride on a massive new research project focused on learning more about LGBTQ experiences in the South. Thousands of people have already taken the 2021 Survey of Southern LGBTQ Experiences, sharing information about their adolescent experiences, support system, and views on state and local policies.

We’re in the final month of data collection for the research project – and we really want to hear from you. If you’re 18 years old and identify as an LGBTQ Southerner, please click here and take the new survey.

So many policies and programming priorities are determined based on the lived experiences of our community – and yet, the sad reality is that there is still very limited data about the specific experiences of LGBTQ Southerners.
