John, Can you believe there’s only one year until the 2022 general election?! On this day next year, voters in Pennsylvania’s first district will head to the polls (or mail their ballots) to choose their next representative. It’s our chance to not only flip this House seat from red to blue, but to replace Republican Brian Fitzpatrick with someone unafraid to stand up for our democracy. We’ve already made great strides since I announced my candidacy just one month ago. The energy I’ve seen at events, on social media, and from donations from folks like you all go to show just how ready our district is for new leadership. And it’s no wonder why: our democracy faces an existential threat from the January 6 insurrectionists and their supporters who wish to do away with our free and fair elections for the sake of keeping their right-wing leader in power. Our voting rights, reproductive choice, environment, healthcare, and so much more are on the line, and our Democratic majorities in the House and Senate could be lost.
