Our Flagship Ayn Rand Lecture Is Back!
Yes, our flagship Ayn Rand Lecture is back, Tuesday 23rd November, with our guest speaker, serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson.
Johnson is one of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs. He is Chairman and founder of Risk Capital Partners LLP and a former chairman of Channel 4 Television. He wrote a weekly column for successively The Sunday Telegraph, The Financial Times and The Sunday Times for a combined total of 20 years about business. In the 1990s he was Chairman of Pizza Express PLC. Currently he is Chairman of Brighton Pier Group PLC, and a director and significant shareholder of both Gail’s artisan bakeries and Brompton Bicycles. He has written a number of books about business, and co-founded The Centre for Entrepreneurs think tank.
His upcoming presentation for our annual Ayn Rand Lecture, "Entrepreneurs – the Last Best Hope", will argue that entrepreneurs are society’s finest defence against a risk-averse, overcautious culture. Government and big business are not the answer to our challenges.
This year’s Ayn Rand Lecture, named after the ‘radical for capitalism’ author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead is a must-see post-lockdown event.
