It was another jam-packed week in Tallahassee! First up, I made a promise to fix the roads in Eastern Hillsborough County and I'm proud that on Friday President Biden and the Democrats signed the historic infrastructure and jobs act which will help us finish the I-75 interchanges at US-301, Boyette, and Big Bend Road!

The week started bittersweet when we officially designated part of HWY-60 Brian LaVigne Road, forever memorializing his nearly 30-years of service to the people of Brandon. SGT LaVigne was tragically killed in the line of duty on his second to last shift before his planned retirement in January.

In Tallahassee, I had a great conversation with Bay Care's CEO and team about upcoming legislation to improve healthcare affordability, help with their ongoing nursing shortages, and recover from the pandemic.

Back on transit, I sat down with the Tampa Bay Regional Transit Authority and the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority to find creative transit options to get people moving to and from MacDill AFB and across county lines. As you know, our local transit system (HART) is drastically underfunded to the point that we have just one bus route for all of Brandon & Riverview's 200,000 residents. It's time we get moving!

Another huge thing this week was working on my bills as we prepare for the upcoming legislative session. Here's a teaser of something BIG I'm working on...

Beyond Tallahassee, we had great economic numbers come out last week as America continues to Build Back Better!

Lastly, God-Dad Andrew came through BIG for New Bike Day!!! :)

I'm back in the district this week but head BACK to Tallahassee next week for the Governor's Special Session to spread vaccine misinformation and prolong the pandemic.
