Hi John,
Back in September, comedian and writer Demi Adejuyigbe hosted his annual #Sept21 fundraiser on Action Network. He tweeted out the link to the fundraiser (alongside his latest and most spectacular to date music video) on the morning of September 21st, and within the week he had raised over $1 MILLION for the West Fund, the Sunrise Movement, and Water Works NOLA.
We interviewed Demi about this incredible accomplishment and how he chose Action Network for the project — here’s what he said:
“I found Action Network through a few other existing fundraisers that I had seen, and we felt like it was just a really good place for it. It was like, ‘Okay, this is going to go straight to the orgs, we don’t have to touch the money at all, you can see the progress of it, and it feels like everything is handled there, and we don’t really need to make anything too complicated.’”
