Team Sierra , is celebrating 5 years! Thank you to the thousands of people across the country who have raised money for environmental justice and climate action. Through activities and events like hike-a-thons, half marathons, and birthdays, millions of dollars have been raised to advocate for a future where all people benefit from a healthy and thriving planet.

But the climate crisis is accelerating. We must act now to cut carbon pollution in half in the next ten years and eliminate it altogether by 2050 to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. It’s critical that we make the right choices now to shape our society’s direction and the health of our planet for decades to come. A Trash Clean UpBrother and sister Kiran and Lehka helped to keep their community clean by picking up trash in New Jersey. They also asked their family and friendly to sponsor their fundraiser, and they raised $790 to protect the planet.

A Cross Country Bike Ride 15-year-old, Alex, from Boston raised $4,100. Oh, and while raising money and advocating for the planet, he also completed a 3000 mile bike ride from Savannah, Georgia to the Santa Monica Pier in California.
