Hi there, friend – it's been a busy week on the campaign trail, but I have a couple spare minutes, so I want to share a quick update from on the ground in Iowa.
Just recently, I spoke to voters all across our state: Council Bluffs, Denison, Sioux City, Audubon, Ankeny and Des Moines. People shared their stories and their hopes for Iowa's future – and it's clear we've got a lot of work to do. But these conversations are what get me up each day to keep working as hard as I can to defeat Sen. Grassley. (You can donate to my campaign and help us get across the finish line here.)

You see, after over 40 years in Washington, Sen. Grassley has completely lost touch with Iowans. He doesn't understand their concerns and he doesn't listen to their needs – even when it's making national headlines. Just the other week, when asked about the John Deere UAW workers' strike, Sen. Grassley claimed he hadn't even heard that workers were on strike.
Friend, this is completely unacceptable and frankly – as the daughter of a union pipefitter-welder – it makes my blood boil.
The people striking are our neighbors and our family, not people to be ignored or looked down upon. Last week, I was proud to meet and stand with our UAW brothers and sisters who are striking for a better life, fair wages and fair retirements – not only for themselves but for future generations.
Working families in Iowa are my family, and they deserve so much better. Sen. Grassley's Washington elitism makes me more determined than ever to defeat him.
From fighting for working families to protecting our Senate majority, there's so much on the line in this race, so I've got to ask you: If you're with me to defeat Sen. Grassley, can you pitch in whatever you can spare to get us back on track? Here's the best link:

Every dollar gets us closer to defeating Sen. Grassley and flipping Iowa blue. Thank you for all that you do.
