A year ago this evening, I was celebrating with my family and preparing to watch President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris address the American people.

The hope and joy we felt that day were not misplaced. One year after the Biden-Harris ticket defeated Donald Trump, our country is headed in a better direction.

We've passed historic economic relief for families. We've made great strides in vaccinating Americans in the wake of COVID. We've re-joined the Paris Climate agreement.

And just this week, after four years of all talk and no action from the previous administration, congressional Democrats under the leadership of Joe Biden passed a massive investment in our country's infrastructure. We're on the path to creating millions of more jobs, fixing our roads, and expanding broadband all across America.

The progress we've made would not be possible if Republicans controlled Congress. And they're working hard to make sure they do after 2022 -- that's why the NRCC just named my seat as a new target.

Republicans will be on their way to taking the House if they're winning a seat like VA-10. So I need your help to fend off a tough challenge.
