Early voting for our first 2022 primary is only 3 months away. Justice
Democrat Jessica Cisneros is taking on anti-abortion corporate Democrat
Henry Cuellar in Texas’ 28th Congressional District.

As soon as polls open and mail ballots arrive to voters in TX-28, we need
to ensure folks are ready to elect Jessica — a progressive fighter for the
people. Cuellar is backed by Wall Street, Exxon, private prisons, and
votes against abortion rights, immigrant justice, and stronger labor
protections. He’s the most conservative Democrat in the House. We need to
defeat Cuellar.

Jessica can win this race. But here’s the thing: Nearly 90% of
Congressional races are won by the candidate who spends more money. Most
recent data shows that Cuellar has more than *$2 million* in his campaign
account. Jessica has just a fraction of that, but with our support and the
support of grassroots donors like you, we can still win.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s opponent in 2018 spent at least 5 times more
than she did in the primary election. AOC won because she was what NY-14
needed, had a strong campaign, and a strong message. We helped her build
that campaign.

We’re doing the same thing for Jessica’s campaign, but we don’t know if we
can get outspent 5-to-1 and still come out on top. The Wall Street, fossil
fuel, and corporate PAC money will keep flowing to Cuellar as primary day
approaches. We’re relying on a flood of grassroots donations — $5, $27,
$50, whatever folks can afford — to help us close this fundraising gap.

The political establishment will do absolutely everything it can to stop
more Justice Democrats from winning a seat in Congress. Corporate
Democrats don’t want to see Jessica and her support for Medicare for All
and a Green New Deal unseat their friend, Rep. Cuellar.
