And now, I'm about to fall short of my critical midnight goal. I have nowhere else to turn, so I'm urgently asking for you to donate $5 before our critical deadline.

This news couldn't have come at a worse time: CNN is already calling me one of the most vulnerable senators in the country, my race has officially been downgraded from 'Leans Democrat' to 'Toss-Up' and now this new poll has me 2 points behind my extremist opponent.

The GOP only needs ONE seat to flip the Senate – and it's clear they've got their sights set on Nevada. GOP outside groups have poured more than $2 million into attack ads to defeat me – and this new poll shows their efforts could be working.

I cannot afford to lose any more ground, John, and Democrats cannot afford to lose in Nevada – not with Senate control hinging on my race. This poll is still within the margin of error, so I can turn this around, but it needs to happen now. That's why I'm counting on your immediate grassroots support to make it possible:
