Hi John,

After months of work from my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and the White House, I’m proud to announce that we passed the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The bill is now headed to the president’s desk.

This is a clear win for Maine and for the entire country. Here is just some of what the bill will invest in our state:

→ $1.3 billion for roads
→ $225 million for bridges
→ $390 million to remove dangerous lead pipes
→ $74 million for airports
→ Nearly $100 million for affordable broadband
→ Hundreds of millions of dollars for climate infrastructure like emissions reductions, electrical grid upgrades, and resiliency

I’m proud to have been at the forefront of efforts over the past several months to get the bill passed through the House. In April, I participated in the bipartisan infrastructure summit with other members of Congress and a bipartisan group of senators and governors. In June, a bipartisan group of my colleagues and I unveiled the framework for an infrastructure bill which turned into the blueprint agreed to by the White House and Senate negotiators.

John, this just goes to show what we can accomplish with a Democratic House majority. But right now, all signs are pointing to ME-02 being the tipping point for which party controls the House after 2022.

Kevin McCarthy and the GOP establishment’s roadmap to power runs right through our district, so will you pitch in $5, $15, or more to help us hold the majority in 2022 and continue delivering positive change for Mainers in Congress?
