Friend,

When it comes to holding on to the Senate majority next year, there are few races more important than Wisconsin’s.

That’s why it’s alarming to see a sitting senator, Ron Johnson, making his case for re-election by giving voice to anti-vaccine conspiracy theories. Coming from someone in his position, from someone who surely has access to the data, that kind of behavior is unacceptable — and let’s be honest, probably deadly.

Anyone who knowingly feeds the American people misinformation during a pandemic should feel deep personal shame. It’s unclear if Ron Johnson is capable of that — by structuring his political strategy around this nonsense, he says so much about his values, and how broken our politics has become.

This is why this race is our top Senate target for the midterms — will you chip in to make sure that Ron Johnson’s ugly, cynical campaign gets the pushback it deserves? [[link removed]]

The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that 90,000 Americans died of COVID this year who would have survived had they been vaccinated. That’s why the people who know better shouldn’t even mess around with rumor and innuendo. People’s lives are on the line — and at a time when trust in media and institutions is down, the people of Wisconsin should be able to believe their senator is telling them the truth.

The problem is no one can trust a word this guy says — on anything. He’s been busted for repeating lies and debunked rumors on TV over and over again — he did it again a few Sundays ago on Fox News, claiming “the mounting data shows that [the vaccines are] not working or are as safe as we all hoped and prayed they would be” before passing along data that’s been decisively debunked.

I believe in our grassroots efforts on the ground in Wisconsin —we’re amplifying the voices of people who are fed up with Ron Johnson. The data is clear that voters don’t believe the TV ads as much as they believe their friends and neighbors.

So that’s exactly who we’ll be organizing in the months to come. I need your help to build this operation into something that can take on and defeat people like Ron Johnson — chip in if you can right now and let’s do what we can to win Wisconsin. [[link removed]]

Thank you,
Amy
