Hi John — it’s Regina, Jessica’s campaign manager.
Last month, GOP legislators with help from Governor Greg Abbott approved a mega-partisan redistricting map that dilutes votes from Black, Latino, and Asian Texans and strengthens the GOP’s stronghold on our elections while giving well-funded incumbents like Henry Cuellar an advantage.
Because of this, our map is looking different this time around:
With the TX-28 primary election just 4 months away, we can’t turn a blind eye to Republicans’ attempts to silence votes from people of color in the name of keeping Texas red. So it’s never been more important than now to scale up our outreach efforts so we can win our race.
We can’t take a single vote for granted. Every dollar contributed to our campaign will go towards funding our on-the-ground efforts to turn out the vote in Texas. Can we count on your contribution today to help Jessica Cisneros win her race?

Over the last decade, Texas has gained nearly 2 million Latino residents and more than 500,000 Black residents. However, the new Texas redistricting map drafted by the Republicans increases the number of majority-white districts, reduces the number of majority-Latino districts, and doesn’t include even one majority-Black district. This is outrageous.
South Texans have had enough of Republicans’ racist gerrymandering tactics and their attempts to silence marginalized voices. And they’re ready to get a representative who fights for their interest — not the interests of the NRA, private prison industry, and Big Oil. That’s why we must raise enough money to fund our organizing and outreach efforts to defeat Henry Cuellar and send Jessica to Congress so she can be the voice that South Texans need in Congress.
Our movement is only stronger in numbers. Can you contribute anything you can afford today to help Jessica Cisneros win her race and combat Republican gerrymandering in Texas by fueling our voter outreach efforts?
