The twice-impeached former President Donald Trump was banned from major social media platforms for good reason: He used his accounts to help incite an insurrection and spread dangerous disinformation and conspiracy theories.

But now, Trump is launching his own social media network this month called TRUTH Social. Don’t be fooled by the name, though, we know this platform will be home to anything but the truth.

We know better than to believe that Trump will use this new platform for good reasons. He’ll continue fueling his base with more rhetoric on the "Big Lie" and attacking Democrats in the House and Senate with malicious false claims.

And what’s even worse is that there will be a portion of the population that believes him.

The internet host of Truth expects more than 75 million users to use the platform. That’s 75 million people who could be persuaded by anything he says.

John, January 6th demonstrated the weight Trump’s words have on his followers. We can’t let his actions hurt our democracy any more than they already have.
