Join us on Nov 8th to celebrate the launch of Rise: Extraordinary Women of Colour Who Changed the World

Dear John

We can't wait for our upcoming At Home With event featuring artist and author, Mahila Abidi, hosted by Equality Now Advisory Board Member, actor, activist, and author, Sheetal Sheth.

We hope you'll join us, on Monday, November 8 at 1 pm EST / 6 pm GMT, for what we know will be an inspiring discussion of diversity and inclusion, how to talk to children about feminism and gender equality, and the power of books to shape these discussions and inspire adults and children alike to rise up — and help make equality a reality.

Mahila's latest book, Rise: Extraordinary Women of Colour Who Changed the World ([link removed]) tells the incredible stories of one hundred remarkable women of color, from an athlete who fled civil war on a sinking boat and went on to swim in the Olympics to the educator who built the first university in the world to the first Black female astronaut.

Hailing from more than forty countries and across a range of industries, each of these women overcame obstacles to reach the highest of heights in her field and helped change the world for women and girls.

We hope you’ll join us next week to help celebrate the release of Rise, and the stories of these and so many other inspiring women.
In solidarity
