I won't sugarcoat it, friend: even though Dem AG Mark Herring ran a great campaign, we obviously didn’t get the result we all had worked so hard for in Virginia.
I know we’re all disappointed and frustrated with the results, but the absolute worst thing we could do right now would be to take our foot off the gas pedal. This needs to be a wake-up call for all of us, because 2022 starts right now.
There are more than 30 Attorney General seats up for grabs in 2022. That list includes critical swing states we need to defend, such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado, as well as vulnerable Republican AG seats we can take back in Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Arizona.
There are several dangerous GOP AGs we have a chance to unseat in 2022 including:
Pro-Trump Florida AG Ashley Moody, who served on the board of the Rule of Law Defense Fund, a group that made robocalls encouraging Donald Trump’s supporters to go to the “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6th.
Indicted Republican Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is under investigation by the State Bar of Texas to determine if his attempts to overturn Joe Biden’s victory constituted professional misconduct.
Anti-choice Conservative Georgia AG Chris Carr, who has actively used his position to try to deprive nonbinary Americans of their most basic rights, and also has close ties to the January 6 “Stop the Steal” rally.
We can elect pro-democracy, pro-worker Dem AGs to replace these conservative extremists in 2022. But we need your help.
(P.S. Every dollar counts, and can make the difference between winning and losing these critical races. I hope I can count on you.)
