Did you see Diana's email from earlier this week?
Here's what you need to know:
1. The Supreme Court heard arguments on the most restrictive abortion ban in the country on Monday.
2. The decision in this case will have repercussions for millions of people across the country.
3. There's something the federal government can do to protect abortion access today.
Diana isn't waiting on the Supreme Court's decision because we can't rely on the courts to protect our reproductive rights. We need the Senate to act NOW and pass the Women's Health Protection Act. Add your name today >>

Friend,
This week, after living under the effects of SB8 for TWO months, patients and providers in Texas finally had their day in the Supreme Court to challenge this unconscionable abortion ban. Let's be clear: we should have never gotten to this point.
SB8 is the most restrictive abortion law in the country. It bans nearly all abortions after just six weeks, before many people even know they are pregnant. It has caused thousands of Texans to travel hundreds of miles to access the reproductive care they need and forced countless others to carry pregnancies against their will.
This law is cruel and dangerous. The Supreme Court has a duty to strike it down, but as co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, I'm not waiting on the courts to save our reproductive freedoms.
Earlier this year, I helped pass the Women's Health Protection Act in the House. This bill will provide long-overdue federal protections for abortion access and reproductive freedom. Will you join me in calling on the Senate to pass this legislation swiftly?

This isn't just about Texas, friend. Reproductive freedom is on the line in states across the country. If the Supreme Court fails to strike down SB8, extreme anti-choice lawmakers across the country will continue their crusade against reproductive freedom.
Additionally, their decision in this case could be a warning sign of what's to come later this year. In December, the Supreme Court will hear a case on a 15-week ban that directly challenges Roe v. Wade. If Roe is overturned, abortion will become illegal in 26 states overnight.
We have no more time to waste. We must implement federal protections for reproductive health care NOW. Sign on and demand the Senate pass the Women's Health Protection Act without delay.
