John

You've seen it in the news.

It's all over social media.

Even your church sent out a reminder.

Tonight's the night to set your clocks back one hour.

It sounds nice to get an extra hour of sleep tonight, but you know that your dog, your kids, and your own body will wake you up anyway.

Next week, your kids will be cranky when it's still an hour before dinner time. Every farmer will be frustrated with their animals. And, just when you think that you can take care of one more project in the yard after work, it will be pitch black.
Daylight Saving Time was a war-time effort from World War 1 and 2 to save lamp oil, but more than 100 years later it's no longer necessary. So let's lock the clock and stop the time changing twice a year.

Marco Rubio and I have been working on legislation to #LockTheClock and keep Daylight Savings all year long. We'd keep the extra hour of daylight in the evening--making parents and pets everywhere happy.
Do you support the Sunshine Protection Act, too? We're building momentum on this common-sense solution. There is nothing sacred about Daylight Saving Time. Will you help us save our sleep and our sanity to push this across the finish line?
