Team, reading is fundamental. Every child should have access to reading materials in their home. That’s why I was proud to lead the way in expanding Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in every county in Kentucky.

The Imagination Library gives children the opportunity to receive a new book every month from birth until age 5 . . . for free.

As a father of three young kids, I know firsthand just how transformative reading can be to a child. Hearing and absorbing the language of their favorite books is one of the best ways for them to learn.

So we worked 9 to 5 ( usually even longer! ) to bring this opportunity to every county in Kentucky.

Expanding the Imagination Library to every county in Kentucky is only the beginning of supporting literacy throughout our state. I’m running for Congress to strengthen KY-03's public education by implementing universal Pre-K, providing affordable childcare, and investing in every child.
